A puppy for Christmas?!

The excitement of Christmas had come and passed, and the space beneath our tree, once filled with colorful boxes and paper, now seemed barren. My oldest dog Micah found this as the perfect place to relax. In my opinion, he made an adorable subject.

Bored with a camera.

I finally got to see my friends Vaughn and Rob for the first time since we graduated high school. I brought my camera to Vaughn's house, and we utilized its ability to capture our moments of sheer entertainment and friendship.

Delectable.

My parents were cleaning out the freezer in our basement when they came across this delightful treat: a pie my mother had made for us to eat during our first week in our new home... eight years ago. My father, being the danger-seeking manly man he is, insisted that we bake it just for fun. This is the beautiful outcome.

Fried Chicken, Seagulls, and a Bathrobe.

I hadn't seen my friend Nailea in eight years. One day we started Instant Messaging and arranged to meet when I came in from New York. The first thing we did after almost a decade of not seeing each other was order fried chicken from a sketchy corner store called Crown Fried Chicken. It was a nice day outside, so we plopped down on the sidewalk and feasted until we could feast no more. With so much food left over, we decided to lure in the hovering flock of seagulls above us and had ourselves a dandy old time.

The Cone of Shame.

My older dog Micah had a sore removed from his leg the day before I came home from RIT for Christmas break. His glistening, pleading eyes were practically screaming "photo op".

Burnt Nachos.

My friend Ryan attempted to make nachos by piling some shredded cheese on tortilla chips and nuking it. The result was a hard chunk of chips stuck to a paper plate. This made for some interesting gravity-defying photographs... I love my friends.

Delish.

This is the aftermath of a delicious meal from Gracie's Dining Hall. I only really like this photo because of the contrast between the cool blue tinted windows next to the warm beige tones of the fries, burger bun, and ice cream wrapper.

The little things.

I was limping back from RIT's Cage when I witnessed a man draw this house-like picture on the wall with a chunk of snow and walk away. I watched, intrigued as I slowly gimped past, then realized it would probably make a beautiful photograph. I hope you agree.

Beyond the horizon...

I have the most absolutely beautiful view from my back deck at my house in Pennsylvania. The night after Thanksgiving, the radio tower downtown was lit up for Christmas for the 50th consecutive year. There was much celebrating, including a fireworks display which, from my point of view, was breathtaking.

As if the night view wasn't enough.

Mother Nature tends to show off a lot.

So I was just sitting on my bed, procrastinating, when I saw brilliantly abstract condensation on my window. I proceeded to clumsily remove the screen and capture this amazing sight. Needless to say, I am a happy photographer.

Soapy swirls of happiness.

I was traipsing about the tunnels of RIT and came across a beautiful mess. I later learned that one of my friends/floor-mates had spilled a great amount of laundry detergent on his way to wash his sheets. I'm so proud of him.
